Current Health & Safety Policy Statement

Temporary Health & Safety Policies have been developed to protect guests and staff, and to facilitate contact tracing in the event of illness.

Federal Guidelines regarding hygiene and social distancing will be adhered to by innkeepers and should be followed by all guests…  “Travel safety is a shared responsibility.”

  • Room Availability
    • Reservations strongly encouraged (limited walk-in availability)
    • Online reservation form is required 
    • All payments will be run prior to arrival
    • Availability will be subject to Federal/State occupancy guidelines
    • Rooms with hall baths may not be available
    • Check-in 4pm-9pm/Check-out at 11 am, no late check-out
  • Occupancy Limits
    • Maximum of 8-10 guests in building at any one time
    • Maximum of 2 people per room
    • Children age 10 and up only
    • Guests may not have visitors on premises (inside or out)
  • Social Distancing Requirements
    • All Federal/State rules for social distancing apply
    • Signage is posted prominently to remind staff and guests of requirements and recommendations for how to protect yourself and others
    • Common areas have limited occupancy (dining room, living room, front porch, back deck)
    • Face masks need to be worn in areas where 6ft distancing is not possible (hallways,coming and going from common areas)
    • Face to face communication with innkeepers will be limited in favor of messaging or phone.
  • Sanitation/Safety
    • Staff undergoes daily health assessment and will stay up to date on current health and sanitation recommendations 
    • Signage is posted prominently to remind staff and guests of requirements and recommendations for how to protect yourself and others
    • Handwashing supplies are provided and maintained
    • At this time, guests should bring their own face coverings and hand sanitizer as local availability is extremely limited and innkeepers are unable to provide these except for staff
    • Disinfecting cleaner is supplied for in room use
    • EPA approved disinfectants are available and in use
    • Staff  routinely cleans/disinfects all frequently touched surfaces 
    • Decorative items have been eliminated from rooms to facilitate cleaning and sanitizing
    • No late check out to allow adequate time for cleaning and disinfecting between guests
    • Fresh air ventilation is increased throughout building (weather permitting)
    • Paper, cleaning and sanitizing supplies are available for your use during your stay
    • If you are have any of the following symptoms please stay at home:
      • Temperature above 99°or Chills
      • Cough or Breathing issues
      • Muscle pain or Headache
      • Sore throat
      • Loss of taste or smell
      • Gastrointestinal issues
  • Amenities
    • Dining room & living room are available with limited occupancy
    • Refrigerator use limited to unopened bottled and canned beverages
    • Microwave, toaster, dishes, games and other previously shared amenities will not be available
    • Limited continental breakfast  available 7:30-8:30 am
    • Hairdryers can be requested in advance
    • Guest phone can be made available on request
    • Guest laundry is not available
  • Compliance
    • We are asking guests to comply with all state and federal guidelines as posted.
    • It is our expectation that guests will comply out of mutual respect for their hosts and fellow travelers
    • Travel is subject to any and all current guidelines set forth by the governor of WV
    • The Old Clark Inn is unable to accommodate anyone for self-isolation or quarantine nor is the area suitable for this due to lack of delivery services.
